Burton Hastings To Hartshill.

Do telegraph poles sprout?

On coming back down the Ashby on Thursday we met this BW dredging team in mid channel.

To give them their due though, they did move over as soon as they saw us approaching.
I can't see the dust carts on the road doing that!

This must be some of the slop that they have been rebuilding the towpaths with.
It works well though, not too far from here the grasses are already growing through the parts they have back filled.

Just enough room to slide past and off we went again.

Hows this for a telegraph pole? I honestly could not see any connection to the surrounding hedges. Maybe it was a trapped seed or has the pole sprouted?

Today (Saturday) we have moved on to Hartshill, we were going to Atherstone but after three and a half hours on the back I was getting very cold indeed. The wind was finding every single little gap in my clothes and getting itself in there.

I, therefore am now a fully paid up wuss! According to someone who shall remain nameless.

Until next time............................
