Ellesmere.

Staying put.

When we were here in the early part of last year, there was a skeleton of a new building opposite this old warehouse. That skeleton is now a Tesco's  which has the added advantage of us being nearly able to moor at the checkouts.

We are waiting here for some post to catch up with us, this is the only place we have found so far where the post mistress will have nothing to do with the "Post Restante" service. I didn't know it was her choice to accept or decline the post, I will have to look into that when we eventually get broadband again.

Thankfully the local boatyard was more accommodating and we can pick it up from there.

The weather is very settled at the moment so we are going to do the touristy thing and go and have a wander around the mere that gives this place it's name.

Until next time.......................

Looking at the details below there is a get out in the bottom line

Poste Restante
If you're travelling but want to stay in touch, you can take your letterbox with you. People can address mail to you and send it to any UK Post Office™ * and some main post offices in larger towns abroad. You can use the service for up to three months in any one UK town for any letters.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for that info, it looks like we will have to find more helpful boatyards or pubs to send the post to.
Regards Chris.

To Mr/Mrs Anon from Dudley,

Sue on No Problem had the same problem at Napton but contacted the Post Office head office and Napton were made to reinstate it, might be worth checking with her although she is not on the boat at the moment.
