Bettisfield To Ellesmere, 1 Tunnel.

Autumn abounds around about......here.

What a place to be at this time of year!
The prop clogging leaves can almost be forgiven as the display the trees are putting on is quite breathtaking.

The Llangollen is a bit of a misnomer in that it is not all that Welsh.
It only starts to flirt and tease with the border upon reaching Bettisfield, Wales on one turn then back to England on the next.
Welshampton is of course in .....England, Shropshire to be precise.
It is only once you have reached Chirk that you actually cross the border for real and have to start pronouncing place names as if you are clearing your throat or sinuses, a handkerchief is quite handy when trying to explain to others where you have visited.

We are thinking ourselves very lucky to be right here, right now at this moment.

This is Blake Mere just outside of Ellesmere, looking quite like the Lake District in all its glory.

Today however is a completely different story,  the wind is positively howling outside along with long cold showers every now and then.
A nice warm fire and the feet up make it all seem OK though.

Until next time....................
