LLangollen to Ellesmere. 2 Locks, 2 Aqueducts, 2 Tunnels in 2 Days........ sorted.

Since we entered this canal the wind has been blowing, then it blew hard, then harder still, but it saved the best till last.
When we were crossing the Pontcysyllte on the return trip it really got going, it blew so hard that we actually got pinned to the edge although we were running at three quarter throttle. This meant that we both had to get off the boat and push, a strange experience at 120ft above the ground!

Lesson 1, never moor under a tree in a gale of wind.

We were plastered with this stuff which has since proved to be a real pain to get rid of. Two days later and it is still with us despite lots of sweeping and washing.

The leafy LLangollen on the morning of our departure.

This is in the middle of one of the narrow parts, how this works in the summer with all the boats that must come through here is beyond me.

Nearly got a bit of a sunset here.
We are now moored at Ellesmere where we spotted a builders merchant selling 25 litres of engine oil at a cheap price on the way up.
Lets buy that now says D.
No we might as well wait and get it on the way back says I.
They were closed when we arrived on Saturday afternoon and don't reopen until Monday.

When will I learn?
Until tomorrow................................
