We turned left!
This was decided by the close location of the Tesco store to the canal, so we are now on our way to the Anderton boat lift and hopefully a trip along the river Weaver amongst all the seagoing cargo ships. It will be an experience even if we can't get on the river.
One last picture of the aqueduct, that's our shadow 120ft down with me taking a photo of it.
A fine vessel, they come in all shapes and sizes on the canals
This field has been cut for hay already, where is this year going?
As we approached this bridge it looked like we would have to fit wheels to carry on!
Here's something we haven't seen for a couple of weeks,...... houses! these appeared as we approached Middlewich. Not a bad estate this being built in the trees with cows around the outskirts, very rural.
This is just one of many areas along the Shroppie that have these benches and BBQ stands for anyone to use. This is another council area that is actively attracting people to the canal.
Here is the totally uninspiring right hand turn onto the Trent and Mersey, that way would have taken us to the Macclesfield canal but as I say Tescos has spoken. The Mac will have to wait for another day.
Until tomorrow...........
