That foreboding look in the sky last night turned into the wildest wettest and windiest night so far. I seemed to spend the entire night listening to the stern ropes straining and waiting for them to snap.
If they had it would have been such a shame to wake D and send her to sort it out as she did look so cosy and warm under that quilt, it was very wet outside and I am allergic to rain.
Here we go again! why are we doing this?.......why are we doing this?....... why are we doing this?..... 30 locks up today and 30 locks back tomorrow, they think its fun,... and guess what? it is!
We started our uphill climb at 9:10 and finished at 12:50 with a forced half hour break as we caught a boat up that had started an hour earlier. That was good going.
Just another lock, then another, then one more... ad infinitum.
The Sky's are spectacular as you climb away from the towns and cities.
All change with the scenery again as we are heading back towards the Tardebigge tunnel after a quick pit stop at a hire yard for the essentials.
