Market Harborough.

A market town that is closed on Sunday's.

Our overnight mooring gave us this spectacular view. We battened down all the hatches ....so to speak.....but nothing came of it at all. Lucky!!

It was business as usual the following day as we made our way in to the town. Sunshine and warmth all the way.

Some people call this sort of thing art, others call it vandalism.
Right here, right now in this location it's just sheer vandalism, nothing else.

The basin at the end of the arm is a very peaceful place, a few hire/share boats moored around the pub/restaurant.
There didn't seem to be any visitor moorings actually in the basin but there were plenty just outside. A little trip out to explore the town and find the market then we were settled for the day.

Another walk in on Sunday found nearly all the shops were shut. An odd thing that.
As every penny must count nowadays, losing a whole days trading must make a dent in the finances.

We soon made friends with the resident mother and tribe.

Until next time................................
