Rugby, And A Visit From The CID!

A loud tapping on the roof and two dodgy looking blokes staring through the window.

This then, was our introduction to some of Rugby's police force. As we went to the door one of them climbed aboard, (this was before he flashed his warrant card) at that time I thought this was going to get a bit dodgy, having uninvited strangers jumping onto the boat is not good.

It turned out they were looking for someone moving along the canal in a narrowboat that they did not know the name of, they did have a good description of the man in question though.

We hadn't seen him, so off they went to the other moored boats.

Now, you have to think about that for a moment.

Two members of the CID are looking for a "Felon" on a canal with no turns off of it for miles. This "Felon" would be escaping at the dizzy speed of three to four miles an hour, surely sending an officer on a bike or motor bike down the towpath would very soon give them a "result" instead of these two roaring around in a car.....Just a thought.

I haven't a clue what variety this is, but those berries are huge and so colourful.

Another couple of pictures from the heavy frost on Tuesday morning. The sun was certainly doing it's best to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

Until next time.......................
