Cropredy to Banbury. 3 Locks.

Quick apology for the "Widget" that no longer works. That was a waste of time!

No cock horse to ride but we got here all the same.

Last light of the day yesterday and even that was glorious. We were really glad we decided to stay put.

Bashing away on the keyboard yesterday and I got the feeling I was being watched. These youngsters did not have much fear about them and knew exactly where to get fed.

First lock of the day and time for a chat over the beams. A very heavy dew this morning as you can see on the roof, very bright and warm though.........hooray.
Two hours to do three locks today. There were boats all over the place, hanging around in the locks, lurking under bridges like trolls and seeming to appear in front of us from nowhere.
Great that, as we have nowhere to go and all day to get there, so we don't care.

Another boat underwater opposite a boatyard, this one is hanging out into mid channel here.
A nights cruise could leave someone with a problem if they struck that.

Banbury was a bit of a surprise, we didn't know what to expect, and to be honest we hadn't even thought about it.
Market day was in full swing, the sun was out and so were the people.
We are on some very nice moorings in the centre of town, the area seems to have been redeveloped in fairly recent years and is quite smart.
Hanging baskets, planters and Bistros are all along the towpath and a nice shopping centre on the other side.

Another day spent here is on the cards.

Until next time.................................
