Brighouse. No Movement. Staying Put. Not Going Anywhere.

Yesterday (4th July) was a bit of a red letter day for us. It was a year ago since we quit "That" job.
So much has happened to us in a year it is very hard to believe it all.

We are staying put at the moment as our plans might have to change yet again in the near future. Our trip across the Rochdale has gone out of the window as they are only allowing two boats a day to cross the summit. This is at your own risk as the water levels are that low, if you should get stuck up there its a case of hard luck.

As we passed this poor old boat the other day, an otter scampered out of that hole at the back and went into the cabin. We waited and waited and waited with cameras focused, but all to no avail. As we left and were out of camera range out he came, bold as brass, you could almost see him poking his tongue out and giving us a raspberry.

Lovely old Iron bridge here, should you happen to like lovely old Iron bridges.

A lovely old hand operated crane here, should you happen to like lovely old hand operated cranes.

We are moored opposite the actual boatyard where Ubique was built, taking the serial number into the office the fact emerged (Amongst others) that she was commissioned in July. So all those years ago she was right here getting wet for the first time.

Should be on the move again tomorrow....................
