Friday 6 March 09. Gayton/Bugbrooke to Lower Weedon, no locks.

Yet another fine morning, even though as we approached this mooring yesterday afternoon it snowed!!. As they say if you don't like the weather here wait ten minutes and lo and behold it stopped and out came the sun, half an hour chopping wood gave us a cosy evening.

As we were getting ready to slip away this "Wide Beam" cruiser passed us, they are twice as wide as us and as you can see take up most of the canal, this photo is taken from a very wide point, it just gets narrower from here, can't wait to meet one of them coming the other way.

Here's D doing something that she said she would never do, slipping down the side while we are under way to fetch the centre rope. The Cat`o`nine tails I was holding at the time had nothing to do with it.

This was a short cruise today ending in us doing all the housework/maintainence etc, won't bore you with that lot.

Tomorrow is another day.
