Leicester And Beyond.

In through the front gardens....................out through the back alley.

No trouble at all here overnight. One police chase in the early hours with their sirens making all the noise.

We left the coveted pontoon for the next boater first thing in the morning,

with its views of the restored buildings opposite.

Making our way out under the West Bridge

we found this object just beyond. No idea what it is but the pigeons were enjoying it though.

The first lock, tucked right away amongst the industrial buildings. This is where you realise that you are creeping away from the city via the back alley.

We are still travelling with the NB Rallentando (It means "Slow Down"). This is the longest time we have ever spent with another boat since we have been out here.

Row upon row of old industrial buildings, most of which are still being used. That modern chimney doesn't seem to sit too well against its older counterpart, all stays and Aluminium.

Only a few locks down and the greenery starts to reassert itself again.

Thats it for now as I am off back to bed.
We had a KFC takeaway yesterday.........the less said about what that has done to us the better.

.

Until next time................................
