Haigh Hall To Wigan.

The rain maker cometh...............
.
.
.
After reading fellow Blogger nb Poppy's report as to the amount of boats waiting to descend the Wigan flight, we decided to wait where we were for a while.
.
.
.
.
.
.
This poor old Dawncraft was here last year and clearly shows that there is not too much clearing up being done around here either.
.
.
.
.
.
.
We arrived at the top lock of the flight before noon and have found this great place to moor.
.
Shall we polish the brass? says I
If you polish that it will rain says D.
Don't be daft says I, we are in the middle of a drought.
.
It started raining about an hour after we had finished polishing!
.
Nothing heavy though just gentle summer rain but enough to ruin the work we have done.
.
So........ should you need some rain wherever you are I would be only too glad to turn up with my can of Brasso and a cloth.
.
Bookings are now being taken.
.
.
.
Until next time............................
